Job Summary
Business Development Executive
Business development executives are responsible for driving new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and growing revenue.
Responsibilities
• Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s business needs.
• Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships.
• Monitor market trends and sales data to contribute to sales forecasting reports.
• Be the primary negotiator in deals with potential clients, working towards the closure of agreements on business deals.
• Address client concerns and ensure the resolution of issues in a timely manner, with quality service.
• Manage the entire bid process from identifying business opportunities, leading the creation of the proposal, and submitting the completed bid to the client.
• Collaborate with different teams to prepare proposal sections that clearly articulate the company’s value proposition. This often includes writing and editing content, as well as working with designers on layout and visuals.
• Work closely with the finance team to develop cost estimates and pricing strategies for the proposals.
• Assess the risks involved in the project and address them in the bid, offering solutions to potential project obstacles.
• Ensure bids are submitted on time and adhere to all specified guidelines and formats.
• Lead the post-bid review process to understand the reasons behind winning or losing bids and apply these lessons to future bids.
